Vietnam used to be one of the poorest in the world until it shifted from a centrally planned to a market economy which makes Vietnam became a lower-middle-income country. At present, Vietnam is ranked 21st among 42 countries in the Asian-Pacific region. Due to the increase in population. It had reached 97 million in 2018, therefore Vietnam is encountering the rapid growth of society and demographics.
