Fr.304 1908 $10 Ten Dollars Silver Certificate "TOMBSTONE", PCGS 25 Comment
This listing is for sale ONE note ONLY. The scanned image displayed the front and back of the exact note you will receive.
A lovely example of $10 Silver Certificate from the series of 1908. The note's center portrait is of Thomas A. Hendricks, who served as Vice-President during Grover Cleveland's administration. His death while in office, along with the oblong shape surrounding his portrait, has led to these notes being commonly referred to as "Tombstone Notes".
This Fr.304 has a notable signature combination of Parker and Burke. It received a VF 25 grade from PCGS, but there is a comment about design. Despite our careful examination of the note, we were unable to locate the filled-in portion. However, the note boasts bold inking and maintains a good shape, making it quite visually appealing.
