This listing is for sale ONE note ONLY. The scanned image displayed the front and back of the exact note you will receive.

The 1891 $50 Silver Certificate (First Type) is a significant rarity in U.S. currency. While its face layout differs from the 1880 series, it retains the portrait of Edward Everett on the right side, accompanied by a small red Treasury seal. This example came from the Fr#330 which featured the signature combination of Rosecrans & Nebeker. The rarest Fr# and only eight known examples of this specific Friedberg number exist, with one permanently housed in the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank collection.

This particular example stands out as a problem-free, moderately circulated note with strong color for its grade, making it a desirable piece for collectors. Unlike other known specimens that may have condition issues, this note remains unimpaired, preserving its historical and aesthetic integrity. For collectors seeking a rare and well-preserved example of this scarce Friedberg number, this note is an exceptional find.
