Fr.304 1908 $10 Ten Dollars Silver Certificate "TOMBSTONE", PMG 50 EPQ
This listing is for sale ONE note ONLY. The scanned image displayed the front and back of the exact note you will receive.
A lovely example of $10 Silver Certificate from the series of 1908. The note's center portrait is of Thomas A. Hendricks, who served as Vice-President during Grover Cleveland's administration. His death while in office, along with the oblong shape surrounding his portrait, has led to these notes being commonly referred to as "Tombstone Notes".
This Fr.304 Ten Dollar Silver Certificate, authenticated and graded AU 50 EPQ by PMG, exemplifies the Parker and Burke signature variety from the 1908 issue. The note exhibits strong eye appeal with minimal wear—two corner folds and light handling represent the only factors preventing an uncirculated designation.
