This Fr.224 1896 $1 Silver Certificate, known as the "EDUCATIONAL NOTE," is a highly regarded representation of U.S. currency. It features a vignette titled "History Instructing Youth" in front of a view of Washington D.C. and is considered one of the most beloved and recognizable notes ever circulated by the United States.
This particular note has received a CHOICE UNCIRCULATED 63 grade from PMG. A small amount of rust on the back, identified by PMG as "minor foreign substance", is the only flaw present. Despite this, the note's paper color is still vibrant and the ink is ideal. Similar uncirculated notes are currently selling for over $3500, making this a great deal for those looking for a high grade example.
