The Mauritanian 50 Ouguiya was issued and released by the Central Bank of Mauritania in 2017. This lilac purple color note measures 130 x 66 mm. On its observed side, there is an illustration of Ibn Abbas Mosque located in Nouakcott and the Mauritania coat of arms. On the reversed side, it features a musical instrument called Xalam and a teapot. Its watermark is a see-thru window along with an open book shaped.
